PosiTracker devices use GPS satellites to figure out where they are, and GSM cellular networks to report it.

GPS Coverage

The PosiTrace|GSM tracking system uses existing GPS satellite signals and GSM cellular networks to locate and report the whereabouts of your vehicles or assets.

GPS signals are available virtually everywhere around the globe, so our devices can always determine their location. If also within GSM coverage that trip data is transmitted back to GFM and presented to you in the PosiTrace tracking web page. If the device is out of GSM coverage then trip data is collected and stored, until within GSM coverage again, at which time the data is sent.

The primary GSM coverage maps for USA and Canada are presented below for your reference.  If your area is not covered by PosiTrace|GSM, you probably need to consider our all satellite solution, PosiTrace|SAT, for remote area tracking.

If you have questions about coverage or wish to obtain updated latest coverage information please contact our solution consultants at 1-877-787-2231.
